Crepini Café’s brand identity and packaging redesign landed them in national gourmet food chains like Whole Foods, Dean & Deluca and more, exceeding 2 million in sales in a few short years. Their new packaging also aided in their landing two SOFI Silver Awards for their wonderful rolled, filled crepes.
We approached the food packaging design by combining Russian and Art Nouveau influences in the brand mark (drawing inspiration from the fusion of the Russian blini and French crepe). A 3 color palette was applied to the packaging, using unbleached natural kraft paper for a tactile, gourmet feel. Flavors were called out on custom labels. An artist was commissioned to create the crepe image for the package.
