MDFRSH – Reclaimed Wood Letters

MDFRSH™ is a collection of handmade wooden letters based on well-known typefaces, created by Miller™ partner, Reuben Miller. MDFRSH letters are all made with reclaimed wood scraps from construction sites and woodworking waste. Unlike some other wood letters, these are made using hand tools, so each wood letter is unique and one-of-a-kind, with imperfections and all. Most letters are hand-sanded and coated in either wax, oil or a mixture thereof. MDFRSH letters are inspired by the beautiful forms of typography. If you’re type enthusiasts like us, you’ll appreciate the way wood brings to life the subtle smoothness of Helvetica, the sensual curves and terminals of Caslon, and hopefully more to join the ranks of favorite typefaces in our collection. “I Friended You” Gocco Poster

I was thinking about Facebook and how it’s become such a big deal and wondered about how people are really using it. For one, I find myself “friending” people not because I truly want to be their friend (at least not right away), but rather because I think that person might be interesting. Don’t get me wrong – interesting is good. In fact, maybe that will bring about a true friendship. Think about the friends you’ve made. Your interest in that person was likely because you thought he/she was interesting. This poster sums up that sentiment. It’s printed in blue ink using a Gocco screen printer. If you want one, just let us know.

Spoonigami

Foil Lid Spoon for Yogurt

Spoonigami is a conceptual design for a folding diagram to help consumers use the foil seal on yogurt and pudding containers as a makeshift spoon in a pinch. The focus is convenience, while keeping packaging waste to a minimum.

Adding a simple folding diagram to yogurt peel-back foil makes it more useful.

Radial Fin Cup

Reinventing the Coffee Cup

The Radial Fin Cup is an attempt to improve the typical coated, rolled and glued coffee cup with a plastic lid and insulation sleeve, and satisfy coffee shop owners, consumers and the the environment alike. Customers want ease-of-use, convenience and cleanliness. The environment needs us to come up with sustainable ways to drink our daily coffee without forcing consumers to reuse their coffee cup. The Radial Fin Cup is a single-mold sleeveless cup that is sustainable and 100% biodegradable. It’s made from molded sugarcane pulp or reed fiber pulp, depending on where in the world it is manufactured, using local, renewable organic waste material. The design incorporates fins to allow for insulation from the cup surface without adding an extra sleeve. The single mold design eliminates the need for glue in the manufacturing process. The Radial Fin Cup was featured […]

Single molded sustainable-pulp fiber cup eliminate the need for gluing and separate insulation sleeve.

NeuNutri Nutrition Facts

Reinventing the Nutrition Facts

NeuNutri™ is our concept for updating the not-so-useful nutrition facts panel on food products so they’re more useful, easy to read and encourage at-the-shelf nutrient comparison. Very simple updates have been made to the design. (Note: This initiative doesn’t address nutrient representation in itself, but rather how the current nutrient data is represented.) This was part of a proposal being submitted to the FDA for consideration in their initiative to reevaluate the current guidelines for nutrition labeling.

Here's how we'd reinvent nutrition facts for food products.
